New Release Tuesday: June 7 2011

Not too much coming out today, but we’ve got you covered for what’s in stores today. We have releases from Deas Vail, Farewell Flight, Thousand Foot Krutch, ¬†Manafest, and Blindside today!

Deas Vail & Farewell Flight – Split EP

Deas Vail & Farewell Flight - Split EP Album ArtFirst up we have the split EP from Deas Vail and Farewell Flight from Mono Vs Stereo Records. It’s just four songs long, two from Deas Vail – Sixteen and Gone – and two from Farewell Flight – Out For Blood and Ten Steps In. I’ve known about Deas Vail for a while now, and I like them, but this is the first I’ve heard of Farewell Flight. To me they sound like a mix between Deas Vail and Gasoline heart. A great EP which you can pick up for just $1.49 over on It’s the same price of $1.49 over at iTunes as well.

Thousand Foot Krutch – Live At The Masquerade

Thousand Foot Krutch - Live At The Masquerade Album ArtA couple of live albums coming out today, and this is one of them. You can pick up Live At The Masquerade for ¬†$9.99 on iTunes or $9.49 on Amazon. The album has fourteen live songs total, and has the live videos for four of those songs – Fire It Up, Rawkfist, Already Home, and Bring Me To Life. That’s a pretty good deal considering the average video costs $2 on iTunes and elsewhere. Definitely a great album worth buying.

Manafest – Live In Concert

Manafest - Live In Concert Album ArtSo here’s the other live performance album, from Manafest. Now you have the choice to get the twelve live songs, plus three live performance videos and the music video for Avalanche by picking it up on iTunes for $9.99 or just get the twelve songs without any videos over on Amazon for $5.99. Personally I think the iTunes purchase is a better deal, but if you hardly ever watch the videos anyways, I say just grab the Amazon version.

Blindside – With Shivering Hearts We Wait

Blindside - With Shivering Hearts We Wait Album ArtHere’s the last one that I’m going to feature here. This album is from Blindside, a Christian rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve heard about these guys before, and listening to some of their music I think they’re a pretty great band. Definitely worth at least checking out! The better buy when it comes to price is obviously Amazon at $7.99. If you want to put it on the iCloud which Apple announced yesterday though, then you can pick it up on iTunes for $8.99.

Alright, so that’s all we have for you this week. Let me know about what you want to see featured next week, mainly because all that I’ve heard about so far is Owl City’s new album! Let me know via email or in the comments section below.
